1. 【Canceled】 Tokiwadaira Cherry Blossom Festival 【中止】 常盤平さくらまつり
The 「Tokiwadaira Cherry Blossom Festival」 has been canceled due to the ongoing Novel Cororavirus outbreak in Japan.
The largest of Matsudo's many cherry blossom festivals, attracting over 200,000 visitors annually!
The Tokiwadaira 'Sakura-dori' (Sakura St.) extends 2.2km between Tokiwadaira and Goko Stations (Shin Keisei Line). 600 cherry blossom trees line both sides of the road, creating a beautiful pink cherry-blossom arch. Sakura-dori will be closed to vehicular traffic during the festival, and the street will be filled with food stalls and other vendors. Parades and charity performances are also scheduled throughout the weekend. See you there!

2. 【Canceled】 Yahashira Cherry Blossom Festival 【中止】 八柱さくらまつり
The 「Yahashira Cherry Blossom Festival」 has been canceled due to the ongoing Novel Cororavirus outbreak in Japan.
Come and celebrate the cherry blossoms in Yabashira (walking distance from the Tokiwadaira festivities). There will also be live stage performances and a music parade!

3. 【Canceled】 Mutsumi Cherry Blossom Festival 【中止】 六実桜まつり
The 「Mutsumi Cherry Blossom Festival」 has been canceled due to the ongoing Novel Cororavirus outbreak in Japan.
Come and celebrate the cherry blossoms in Mutsumi! There will also be a parade, a samba performance, a karaoke competition, a professional mini concert, and a mini steam locomotive ride for children, etc.

The 「Kokubungawa River Cherry Blossom Festival」 has been canceled due to the ongoing Novel Cororavirus outbreak in Japan.

1. Planetarium screenings @ Naoko Space Planetarium プラネタリウム室のスケジュール
Planetarium screenings @ Naoko Space Planetarium have been canceled until further notice due to the ongoing Novel Cororavirus outbreak in Japan.
The Matsudo Shimin Kaikan (Citizens' Centre) is home to the 'Naoko Space Planetarium', aptly named after former astronaut and Matsudo local Naoko Yamazaki. The March and April's schedule is as follows -

2. Gathering of foreign parents and babies @ 'Hot Room Shin Matsudo' (public playspace) 海外から来たママとパパの広場 ＠ ほっとるーむ新松戸
On the 4th Thursday of every month the 'Hot Room Shin Matsudo' playspace holds a casual gathering for foreign parents and their babies. The session is also popular amongst parents with foreign spouses, parents who have lived overseas in the past, and those who have an interest in foreign cultures. It is completely free and open to anyone with a young child (generally up to the age of 3).
