【May 13-21】Open Forest in Matsudo 2023 / オープンフォレストin松戸2023を開催します
What is “Open Forest in Matsudo”?
“Open Forest" is an event in which privately owned forests, protected and maintained by Satoyama volunteers, are opened to the public with the cooperation of the forest owners. ("Satoyama" means mountains and forests close to a rural settlement.)
Nineteen small forests in Matsudo that are normally closed to the public will be open to the public for the event. Why not visit these forests in May, when the young leaves and the sunlight filtering through the trees are beautiful?
This year's event will be the 11th of its kind, held annually in the hope that it will provide an opportunity to think about what we can do to pass on the precious forests that remain in the city to our future children.
