【Nov. 12】MATSU ON!! Music Festival 2022 / まつど音楽フェスティバル

In the area surrounding the Forest and Park for the 21st Centry, 'MATSU ON!! Music Festival' will be held to experience the "City of Music Matsudo".
 On the special stage to be set up in the park, various artists active in the city and beyond will perform!
 In the main hall of Mori no Hall 21, there will be commemorative concerts by the prize-winning junior high and high school students in the city, and a performance & live talk by the renowned Gagaku player, Hideki Togi.
 There will be many food trucks and vendors, too!

  • Date: Saturay, November 12, 2022 9:30AM to 6 PM
  • Venue: Forest and Park for the 21st Century, Hall of the Forest 21, and Matsudo Museum

【Nov. 6】Twilight Cafe at KITE MITE MATSUDO / トワイライトカフェ

For the first time in three years, we are hosting the "TWILIGHT CAFE"!

Come enjoy a relaxing moment with a beer or a glass of wine in your hand while taking in the soothing Jazz and classical music played by a grand piano and stringed instruments.
Kebabs, sandwiches and other food trucks will also be available.

  • Date: Sunday, November 6, 2022 2PM to 6 PM
  • Venue: Open Space in front of KITE MITE Matsudo
  • Fee, etc.: No entry fees or prior reservation required (Charges for food & drinks)

On the day before (Sat Nov. 5), "SOUND CAFE" - a daytime version of Twilight Cafe is held at the same venue as a part of NIGIWAI Festa event. Please check that out, too!



【Nov. 5】Matsudo NIGIWAI Festa / 松戸にぎわいフェスタ

Matsudo's pride and joy will be brought to life around Matsudo Station by restaurants, goods, performance groups and more!
Whether you are a newcomer to Matsudo or a long-time resident, you may find something new to love about Matsudo.
Why don't we all spend a pleasant autumn together in a lively atmosphere?

【Oct. 22 & 23】Matsudo International Science Art Festival 2022 / 科学と芸術の丘 2022

In the beautiful natural setting of Tojo-tei, there will be an exhibition of works, workshops, and talk events by local and international artists, curated together with Ars Electronica, a world-class cultural institution for media arts.
This unique combination of tradition and cutting-edge science is sure to find new future possibilities for Matsudo City.

  • Date: SAT 22th & SUN 23rd Oct. 2022 10AM to 16PM
  • Venue: Tojo-tei House and other venues nearby

【Saturday Oct. 22】27th Matsudo International Cultural Festival / 第27回 松戸市国際文化祭

Held annually, there are introductions of cultures and foods of various countries, exhibitions of activities of local organizations and NPOs, dances and Japanese drum performances, and more.

The Matsudo International Exchange Association (MIEA) sponsors a number of events as opportunities for foreigners living in Matsudo to learn about Matsudo City and Japan through watching, participating, and learning, in order to deepen "Wa" (friendship and understanding) among foreigners living in Matsudo and between foreigners and Japanese.

【Sunday Oct. 16】Shinkosai Festival at Matsudo Shrine / 松戸神社の神幸祭

The Shinko Matsuri is the grandest of all Matsudo Shrine festivals and is a rare festival that can only be experienced once every five to ten years. (It was last held in 2015)
It accompanies four mythological creatures as shrine; Azure Dragon (seiryu), Vermilion Bird (suzaku), White Tiger (byakko), and Black Tortoise (genbu).
The festival is a rarity in Japan, with a procession of wooden statues of the four deities, the locals are dressed in ancient costumes and parade around Matsudo Shrine and the Matsudo Station area.

【Sunday Oct. 16】Edogawa Flower Line Festival 2022 / 江戸川秋の花まつり2022

For the first time in three years, we will hold a flower festival in the cosmos field, which was grown in cooperation with flower volunteers, the Junior Chamber of Commerce, local town councils, civic groups, nursery schools, kindergartens, and community members. There will be plenty for the whole family to enjoy, so come on out!

  • Date: 16th Oct. 2022 10AM to 2PM
  • Venue: Edogawa Liverbed (Kogasaki & Kami-katsushika Bridge area)
  • Fee, etc.: Free admission, no prior entry registration required
  • Parking: Car & bicycle parking available
