Here comes Javi! February 2020 Issue

　 The date was December 7. It was cold outside, but I was warm indoors enjoying a Christmas party hosted by the Kawarazuka-Minamiyama Neighborhood Association. There were more than 20 children and a few adults present (several foreigners), and everyone seemed to be having fun. We made a delicious Russian lunch, sang a bunch of Western Christmas songs, watched a kamishibai performance of a Japanese folk tale, and even got to meet Santa!

There are tons of associations in Matsudo City just like this one, so I recommend you find the neighborhood association closest to you and try to participate in their events. This neighborhood association loves to hold events that showcase foreign culture. When you join, you’ll have the opportunity to learn about the people in your area, have fun, and deepen your interpersonal connections. Give it a shot!

　12月7日でした。外は寒かったですが、暖かい部屋の中で「河原塚南山自治会」のクリスマスパーティをエンジョイしていました。子ども達は20人以上いて、大人も数人いて（外国人もいました）、皆とても楽しんでいました。おいしいロシア料理を作ったり、欧米のクリスマスの曲をたくさん歌ったり、日本の昔話の紙芝居の上演を見たり、サンタさんにも出会えました！

　松戸市内にはこのような団体がいっぱいありますので、自分の地域の町会・自治会に参加してみると良いと思います。こちらのコミュニティーは異文化に触れるイベントが多くあります。参加すると、地域の人々と交流ができて、楽しいですし、信頼関係を深めることができます。ぜひ参加して下さい！
