東京2020大会ホストタウンレガシー　Tokyo 2020 Games Host Town Legacy

In preparation for the Tokyo 2025 World Athletics Championships, which will be held from September 13 to 21, 2025, Romanian track and field athletes will visit Matsudo City and conduct pre-tournament training (pre-camp) at facilities within the city. The team visiting Matsudo this time also held a pre-camp here during the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games in 2021. Let’s all support the Romanian team members!

令和7年9月13日から21日に開催される東京2025世界陸上競技選手権大会に向けて、ルーマニア陸上競技選手が松戸市を訪れ、市内施設で大会前の練習（事前キャンプ）を行います。今回、松戸市に来る選手の皆さんは令和3年東京2020オリンピックの時にも松戸市で事前キャンプをしています。ルーマニアの選手の皆さんをみんなで応援しましょう。

On Tuesday November 1, 2022, Ambassador Dranga Ovidiu of the Embassy of Romania in Japan visited Matsudo City Hall and paid a courtesy call on Mayor Hongoya.
The Mayor spoke about the history of exchange with Romania and host town projects, such as the acceptance of athletes for the pre-camp for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics track and field team, and expressed his gratitude for the Embassy's great cooperation to date. The Ambassador expressed his hope for continued exchange in the future.

令和4年11月1日（火曜）に、在日ルーマニア大使館のドランガ・オヴィディウ特命全権大使が松戸市役所を訪れ、本郷谷市長を表敬訪問しました。
市長より、ルーマニアとの交流の経緯や、東京オリンピックでの陸上競技選手団の事前キャンプ受け入れなどのホストタウン事業についてお話しして、これまで大使館から多大なご協力をいただいたことへの感謝をお伝えしました。大使からは今後も継続した交流を続けていきたいとのお言葉をいただきました。

Last year, we accepted the Romanian Athletics team for the Pre-Games Training Camp for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games in our city, which was the host town of the games. As a legacy after the games, we held the "Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games Legacy: Romania Lecture" online on Monday, June 27, 2022, at the International Humanities Department of Matsudo Municipal High School.

昨年、東京オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会にて、ルーマニアのホストタウンである本市にて陸上競技選手団の事前キャンプ受け入れを行い、大会終了後のレガシーとして、令和4年6月27日（月曜）に、松戸市立松戸高等学校国際人文科において「東京2020オリンピック・パラリンピック競技大会レガシー　ルーマニア講座」を実施しました。

Ms. Silvia CERCHEAZA, the Ambassador's secretary who is also in charge of cultural exchange at the Romanian Embassy in Japan, gave us interesting information on various aspects of Romania, such as climate, festivals, events, and food culture. Students gave various comments, including that the mamaliga (Romanian food made from corn flour) looked delicious and that they now want to visit Romania.
We would like to continue deepening our ties at the Tokyo 2020 Games.

在日ルーマニア大使館にて、大使秘書兼文化交流担当をされているシルヴィア・チェルケアザ氏に講師をして頂き、ルーマニアの気候、まつり、イベント、食文化など、様々な面から面白い情報を教えていただきました。生徒の皆さんからは、「ママリガ（トウモロコシの粉で作るルーマニア料理）が美味しそうだった」「ルーマニアに行ってみたくなった」との感想をいただきました。

これからも、東京2020大会での絆をつなげていきたいですね。
